FIXED-FEE PROBATE AND LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION SERVICES
We provide a specialist service to obtain the Grant of Probate (where there is a will) or Letters of Administration (where there is no will). Both are offered on a fixed-fee basis of £1,000.00 plus VAT @ 20%. Disbursements, such as court fees, are managed on your behalf to ensure a smoother process. If the estate value exceeds £5,000, an application fee of £300.00 applies; if below £5,000, there is no application fee. We make certain that all costs are fully explained before proceeding, ensuring there are no surprises. Every stage is handled with professionalism and care to reduce the burden on you during an already challenging period.
ACCREDITATIONS
TRANSPARENT PROCESS AND ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS
We take a structured approach to managing each probate case, beginning with taking initial instructions and reviewing the will if applicable. We then obtain valuations of assets and liabilities, secure clearance from HMRC and DWP, and apply for the Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration. On average, the process takes around 16 weeks, depending on any external backlogs. If the estate includes shareholdings, stocks, or bonds, there may be additional costs depending on the complexity of the estate, for which we will provide a tailored quote. Additional grant copies typically cost £1.50 per copy; we usually request three as standard. Please note that the sale or transfer of property is not included and is managed separately under our residential or commercial property services.
